Exploring the Structure and Marketing Assets of the Oregon Wine Industry / Northwest Viticulture Center / Salem
David Beck, Board Member and Tom Danowski, Executive Director Oregon Wine Board and Oregon Winegrowers Association David Beck, co-owner of the Crawford Beck Vineyard, will discuss the organizational, geographic, and agricultural components of the Oregon Wine Industry. Among the industry's organizational components is the Oregon Wine Board, and the OWB has a central role in developing a broad marketing program for Oregon wine. Tom Danowski, Executive Director for the Oregon Wine Board and Oregon Winegrowers Association will then discuss the assets and challenges of creating a marketing strategy for the State's wine industry, and the Board's progress to date. The presentation is open to the wine producing public and is a part of Chemeketa's Wine Marketing — Understanding the Wine Market Place (VMW272) class. This will be a great opportunity for the industry to meet and hear from Tom, the Executive Director since early December, and to develop a dialogue about how the OWB's programs can best benefit your needs. The classroom has limited seating. If you are interested in attending or have questions please contact course instructor Phil La Vine at phil.lavine@chemeketa.edu.
