James Beard Spring Tribute Dinners
The James Beard Public Market will partner with long-time board member, Greg Higgins, to host the James Beard Spring Tribute Dinners from 5pm-9pm, Apr. 29 – May 1 at Higgins Restaurant & Bar. Celebrating Portland’s first culinary pioneer, the James Beard Spring Tribute Dinners will showcase Beard’s cooking prowess by featuring a five-course menu that will leave diners feeling like Beard himself prepared each dish.
The menu for these dinners will feature Beard’s own recipes and each course will be matched with a progression of premium regional wines. Some of the delicious spring ingredients used within these recipes include the region’s finest: sorrel, asparagus, spring Chinook salmon, pastured chicken and handmade sausage.
