Mentor & Mentee Wine Dinner at Wildwood

Wildwood’s Sommelier, Savanna Ray, is excited to present the first of her series of Mentor & Mentee Wine Dinners. The idea behind this series is to bring together talented Oregon winemakers with their mentors to show diners why these particular mentors inspired these winemakers and how they were shaped and molded with the help of these exceptional professionals.  “I want to convey the sense of community we have here in Oregon and how we help each other. These wine makers and mentors share ideas, share equipment and collaborate – rather than compete. I think this spirit of community is what Portland is all about and I am excited to not only hear what these winemakers and mentors share, but witness how diners react and participate to this conversation,” said Ray. The first dinner of this series will be August 7th with Matt Berson of Love & Squalor Wines, Ken Pahlow and Erica Landon of Walter Scott Wines and their mentors, Patricia Green and Jim Anderson of Patricia Green Cellars. Ray promises that these dinners will not only be informative, but a lot of fun. The dinner will be held in Wildwood’s Wood Room Tuesday, August 7th at 7:00 p.m. The 4 course dinner is $120 per person plus gratuity.  The dinner will feature 1st vintage Pinot Noirs from each winemaker inspired with Patricia Green. Current Pinots and white wines reflecting who they are as winemakers today will also be featured.
