Salsa Brava!
Our southern Oregon eight-piece salsa band p lays hot and spicy Latin grooves that awaken the senses. Dance the nigh t away on the large, smooth dance floor at the Voorhies Mansion's beaut iful formal gardens.

Marshall Mueller, vocalist and saxophonist has been busy putting together arrangements of many new tunes for the band a s well as several of his own originals. He started a Latin Jazz band cal led Cuba Libre this year and has also been busy performing with the Rogu e Suspects. His training includes traveling to Cuba and studying at the Institute of the Arts in Havana alongside such respected names in the fi eld as Enrique Pla, Chanquito, and Eladio.

Anne Muth, keyboardist\ , has been making regular trips to San Francisco to study with respected Afro-Cuban pianist and published author Rebeca Mauleon. Her book ""The Salsa Guidebook for Piano and Ensemble"" is considered the must have ""b ible"" of the genre. Anne also studied at the Havana Institute of the Ar ts.

Christina Marsilia, vocalist and flutist, has been a public sch ool music teacher for 25 years. Her career has included directing Middle and High School Concert and Jazz Bands as well as elementary general mu sic. Her passion for Latin music lead her to Cuba to study at the Havana Institute of the Arts. There she had private flute lessons as well as s tudying dance with the internationally known group BanRaRa.

SALSA BRA VA! on Community: We connect strongly with the dance community as well a s enthusiastic listeners of this genre. We are dedicated to keeping this music alive and known to music enthusiasts. There are many bands like u s in the larger metropolitan areas of Portland, San Francisco, New Yor k and Miami. However, we are the only band of its kind here in Southern Oregon! We want to continue spreading the joy of this music to all!
