Svetliana Kotava-Pianist Extraordinaire!

Svetlana is a seasoned concert soloist who has just completed her requirements for PhD in piano performance at U of O under Dean Kramer (he takes only the best of the best!). In 2011 she was declared winner of UO Concerto Competition after performing Rachmaninoff’s “Rhapsody on a Theme of Paganini”. Prior to coming to Oregon, Svetlana developed an extensive career in Santiago Chile as a solo and chamber pianist, opera coach, orchestra musician and teacher.
This will be Svetlana’s 2nd performance at MarshAnne Landing. Her impressive performance as accompanist for violinist Lindsay Deutsch in November 2012 has resulted in her return as a soloist. Svetlana’s PhD performance on March 16th was astounding! We are sure that those in attendance will also enjoy her sensitivity, complete control, finesse, and magnificence as she continues her journey as an exceptional pianist.
The evening’s performance will take place in the Gallery at MarshAnne Landing, the winery’s tasting room which showcases the extraordinary talents of over 20 local artists.
