Uncorked & Unraveled: A Summer Sense of Place Experience
Clear your calendar, a perfect summer Saturday is coming your way! 50 lucky Uncorked & Unraveled guests will join the NW Earth Institute and Dr. Scott Burns for a scenic trip through the Columbia Gorge, complete with stops at 3 Hood River Valley wineries and an amazing guided tour that unravels the Gorge's incredible history.
All the details:
On Saturday August 23, we'll meet at Gateway Transit Center at 9:45am and board the bus for a prompt 10am departure. Professor Scott Burns, endlessly knowledgable about the wine terroirs and geology of our region, will unravel the Columbia Gorge for us as we make our way east. After we've unraveled this magical place we call home, we'll experience the fruits of Oregon summer with tastings at three wineries -- Springhouse Cellars, Mt. Hood Winery and Wyeast Winery.
Tickets cost $75 per person* and include the priceless tour, transportation and tasting fees. Pack a picnic lunch to enjoy with your friends and fellow Uncorked and Unraveled companions at Springhouse Cellars, our first winery stop.
Scott will regale us with more tales of how the Gorge came to be as we make our way back to Portland. We'll return at 5:30pm feeling enlightened and inspired!
*$25 of the ticket price is a tax-deductible contribution to the NW Earth Institute.
Fee: $75 ($25 is a tax deductible contribution to NWEI)
