Premier Wine Auction Event to benefit Family Building Blocks



(Salem, OR – 2015) – On Saturday, May 16th, 2015, over 450 wine lovers will gather at the stunning Zenith Vineyard event facility to raise their glasses and their bids on behalf of children at risk of abuse. Presented by Cherry City Metals, the 8th Annual Uncorked Wine Auction is the only of its kind in the Willamette Valley, featuring sought-after wines from top producers and unique travel and culinary opportunities.

Tickets to the event include a winemakers’ reception with stellar local producers providing tastes of their wine and talented NW chefs presenting samples of their fare (*see full list below). A gourmet multi-course dinner from Vibrant Table Catering follows and is paired with critically acclaimed wines. The live auction features impressive vacation packages, world-class wines, and exclusive experiences. Afterwards, celebrate with live entertainment from DesignBand. Wine lovers, collectors and those interested in access to exclusive opportunities not found elsewhere are encouraged to attend.

For over 18 years, Family Building Blocks has worked tirelessly to keep children safe and families together. With the countless pressures and difficulties facing communities today – everything from abject poverty to drug use – the comprehensive assistance provided by Family Building Blocks has helped hundreds of children at risk of harm remain safely in the care of their own parents, and avoid the trauma and expense of foster care. Family Building Blocks’ child abuse prevention programs serve children and families in Marion and Polk counties and provide a wide variety of services dedicated to meeting the needs of children at risk of abuse. In 2014, a remarkable 99% of the children who were involved in FBB’s core programs were able to live safely with their parents, thus avoiding the trauma of abuse, neglect and foster care. www.familybuildingblocks.org
